PM: Government approves 530 bln rbl agricultural land program

MOSCOW, May 17 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has approved a new program of the agricultural land use with budget investment planned at more than 530 billion rubles over 10 years, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Monday.

"Under an order of the president, the government has approved a new state program setting a framework to solve issues of the use of land for agriculture, and we will also develop the land recovery system. We have discussed this with deputies and senators recently," Mishustin said.

The program is aimed at recovering and using of more than 13 million hectares of land. It envisages the creation of a database in five years, he added.
